The Birmingham native Connie released her debut album, titled Over the Rainbow, six months after her appearance on BGT and selling 250,000 copies. Also, she released her Christmas album later in the year. Connie Talbot was one of the first British Got Talent contestants, and was runner-up on the first ever season on the TV show.
She was only seven years old, when she performed Over the Rainbow in her audition in 2007, and she was able to finish in second place behind the opera artist Paul Potts.
