The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU might be available sooner than we imagined.

According to some leaked images, Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti GPUs are on their way to stores in the United States.

Tom’s Hardware discovered that Facebook user Lok LOK had shared photographs of what seems to be MSI’s GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Ventus 3X 12G OC, a yet-to-be-released graphics card.

  2. Nvidia RTX 3080 stock may be found here.
  3. We’ll teach you how to assemble a PC.

That is, of course, an anonymous source, so proceed with care, but the photographs appear to be legitimate photos of GPU pallets, with the MSI 3080 Ti reportedly being transported to the United States beside RTX 3090 cards.
It’s worth noting that the ’12G’ in the graphics card’s specifically refers to 12Gigabytes of VRAM, confirming prior speculations that this is going to be memory config of the RTX 3080 Ti.

Of course, this will disappoint many who were hoping for the 3080 Ti to have substantially more video RAM (say, 20GB) – but we must be cautious about presuming too much here.

Theories aplenty

Nvidia has previously said that stock of Ampere (RTX 3000) graphics cards is unlikely to increase much during 2021, which is supported by other news like the current on component issues from chipmaker TSMC.

The RTX 3080 Ti has been the subject of several rumours for quite some time, and the graphics card is slated to be released in May. However, not long ago, it was thought that the GPU will be released in mid-April, but Nvidia allegedly encountered snags and a delay, which have since been resolved, with the card being potentially approaching.

It’s also worth mentioning that the 3080 Ti may merely come with anti-mining countermeasures, like the RTX 3060 currently does (although Nvidia has faced problems in successfully implementing the tech).

When (or if) the new graphics card is released, Nvidia’s RTX 3080 Ti is slated to contain 10,240 CUDA cores and, as previously stated, 12GB of VRAM with a 384-bit memory interface.

If you’ll be able to acquire one of these new graphics cards next month relies not just on whether the rumour peddlers and alleged launch schedule are right, but you’ll also be up against really low odds in terms of obtaining any available stock (which is expected to be scarce).
