Police have arrested a man aged 20 during a fatal shooting in The Plant retail center located at San Jose that happened Friday morning, announced by SJPD on Monday .
Manuel Gutierrez of San Jose was arrested and detained at the scene on Friday according to police, however they did not release information about the incident until Monday morning.
Around at 6 a.m. on Friday morning, police were called to the shopping center on Monterey Road and Curtner Avenue in which they discovered an individual suffering from at the very least one gunshot wound, police reported. He died on the spot. This was San Jose’s 22nd murder in the past year.
The identity of the victim was not made public.
Gutierrez was detained in the Santa Clara County Main Jail in San Jose on Friday. The reason of the shooting was being investigated.

Saunray Winchester, age 40 from San Jose was arrested Friday when he was walking along the intersection between Santa Clara and Market streets near the scene of the stabbing around 9:35 p.m. 12 July police reported.
